More style for a common Hyundai

Hyundai presented the new generation of Elantra at New York Auto Show.
The third generation of Elantra is now more modern and has more personality than the old model.

The front grill shows that it's a Hyundai we're talking about but there are massive changes. The headlights are more dynamic in design and the rear is big and has a short console. The interior has a new dashboard arrangement.

The center console is high placed and Hyundai says that the finishings and materials quality is better.

For now, especially for the American market, Hyundai announced just a 2 liter, four cylinder petrol engine which produces 138 HP but for Europe, Hyundai will offer the turbodiesel CRDi engine.

As a standard equipment it is offered a five speed manual gearbox and an four-speed automatic with over-drive is available as an option.

Hyundai says the the dynamics of the car is much better, partly from the revised suspension and partly from the body, which is 49% more stiffer than the old model.
