The official sales figures show that the General Motors Romania has done well, with a raise in sales of 69.2%.
In the same region Opel Russia shows an increase of sales of 232 % compared with the year 2006.
Opel in Serbia up 161% (MS up from 4.10 to 8.55%).
Opel in Central and Eastern Europe up 66,194 (from 163,061 to 229,255) or 40.6% (MS up from 3.49 to 3.96% or rounded from 3.5 to 4%)
Chevy is up everywhere.
Key growth marktes: Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Ukraine.
Special mention for "New Markets" (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) with growth of over 300% from 1226 to 5014 units after start of local production.
Chevrolet in Central and Eastern Europe up more than 100,000 units (from 188,171 to 288,213) or 53.17% (MS up from 4.03 to 4.97% or rounded from 4 to 5%).
In addition, Dec 2007 was GM's best ever month in CEE with sales of 60,138 after 37,897 in Dec 2006 ( a plus of 58.96%).
December was also GM's best ever month in Russia with sales up 95.86% year-on-year.
The total monthly sales figure of 29,081 made Russia GM's biggest market in Europe for the first time ever (ahead of UK and Germany!).
